Sandro Spina

Sandro Spina is the Managing Director of Licensing Operations and Strategy at Vectis.

In his role, Sandro leads the creation of new licensing programs, development of licensing strategies, negotiation of patent license agreements with top-tier corporations in consumer electronics and mobile markets, and coordination multi-jurisdictional enforcement activities.

Sandro is a recognized expert in patent licensing and enforcement, and in his earlier career he led a licensing team of more than 40 people spread over three continents and managed, among other projects, the very successful MPEG Audio/MP3 licensing program for 15 years and the launch of an LTE patent pool. 

He has also been a pioneer in creating and implementing new licensing models and royalty compliance processes that have since become well established in the industry.

Sandro is an Electronic Engineer by training and thanks to his extensive experience in the patent licensing arena he has built a very solid knowledge of all strategic and financial aspects of intellectual property development, licensing and enforcement.
